About Insight Edge

What We Do

The Insight Edge Apprenticeship in Applied Research has two main prongs, designed to work symbiotically, giving apprentices a powerful combination of mentorship, real-world experience, and connection to a professional network:

  1. Mentored Real-World Experience: Our apprentices receive guidance from our team of highly trained and senior-level researchers as they contribute to actual research and evaluation projects, most of which focus on postsecondary education and workforce development.
  2. Emerging Leaders Community of Practice: Our apprentices become participating members in the Insight Edge Community of Practice, which is comprised of both junior and senior researchers who meet periodically to engage in developing culturally responsive research practices in communities, nonprofit organizations, philanthropic entities, and government agencies.

Our goal is for our apprentices to emerge from our program with the skills, confidence, and professional network necessary for launching successful research careers.
